Dorothy Ogle
Kindergarten Teacher

Ms. Ogle has been teaching in Waldorf Schools for more than 20 years. Her experience includes time in Waldorf early childhood and elementary grades. She is fully trained in Waldorf early childhood, having studied under European and American Kindergarten teachers. She received her Waldorf training for the elementary grades at the Waldorf Institute of Southern California. She earned a B.A. in English from the University of Tulsa, Tulsa, Oklahoma and is a state-certified teacher of all subjects from K-8 and for English in grade 9.
Ms. Ogle leads an anthroposophy study group in Central Houston and is the founder of Shining Star School.

 

Javiera Guevara
Kindergarten Assistant

Mrs. Guevara is a native of Chile, but has spent several years of her adult life in New York. She has training in dance, illustration, acting and voice, bioenergetics analysis and creative arts therapy and has worked as a dance and creative arts therapist with adults and children of different ages. Mrs. Guevara attended a Waldorf school in Chile for two years as a child – an experience that changed her life. She also has studied biodynamic farming and anthroposophy, plays the recorder and is fluent in Spanish and English. Mrs. Guevara recently moved to Houston with her husband and is excited to work with our kindergarten.

 

 

When asked by the news media, "What did Waldorf education do for you?," Norwegian Prime
Minister Jens Stoltenberg replied, "It encouraged me to always strive to become a better human being."
